Skirting the Issue

Posted on: 16 July, 06

I am so very happy skirts have made a fashion comeback. Here are two more skirts from the premier issue of Ottobre Woman. The fabric for this first one is from JoAnn’s. Typically, I find the selection at JoAnn’s sort of “ho hum,” but there is the occasionally eye catching bolt hidden away. This fabric may be pretty, but the quality leaves a lot be desired. It is my suspicion that this skirt will not hold up well. However, it is such a memorable print that I won’t want to wear it that many times anyway.

I needed just a basic khaki skirt so it seemed like a good time to try out the straight version of the Ottobre skirt. It is a tad big through the hips. Nothing exciting, but sometimes we need basics to go with all the nifty tops. The fabric is some twill that has been in my stash forever.
