It’s a Wrap!

Posted on: 11 November, 06

It is actually *not* an Ottobre pattern. I can hear the collective “gasp!” across the land. This is the Christine Jonson Princess Wrap. The fit is wonderful. Directions? Given the number of wrap tops I have made, the directions did not seem necessary. The fabric is a fine mesh knit from Vogue Fabrics which dh purchased during a trip to Chicago. It is almost opaque enough to not require a cami underneath. However, since I spend much of my day around adolescent boys, I err on the side of caution when it comes to modesty. The cami shows up way more in the photo through the fabric than it does in real life.
The gathers across the tummy are very flattering, if you know what I mean. (wink, wink) I do have plans to use this pattern again and again. Thicker knits might be too bulky for the gathers. This pattern is best suited for soft, thin-ish knits that drape well.

What a great top! You always seem to pick the right fabric for the right pattern. You have a good eye for style and color.
