Ottobre Mini 2

Posted on: 18 January, 07

Yesterday was not a good day and I needed a little break from reality. Sewing is very relaxing. Doll sewing is a total break from reality. I drafted a doll version of the “Furry Fleece Sweater,” design #22 from the Winter 2004 issue. It was so simple and went together in minutes. Because hemming that tiny little ruffle did not sound like fun, the exposed edge was cut with pinking shears. If it ravels a bit, that will be part of its charm. I also thought hemming it would make the ruffle too stiff. I am not entirely happy with the flower applique on the skirt. The petals are also pinked on the edges. The skirt needs something. Perhaps it will come to me, or perhaps I should remember that it is just a doll.

Yesterday was about sewing mini. Today is about sewing big. Details to follow….
